Maori Tupuna in the 2017 version presented the play "Tatou e piri nei pahe hau ma'ohi
Rapa Nui', what unites us as Rapa Nui nation. In this play, the festive celebrations are
represented through the traditional 'umu haka hoa' and ancient sports, as well as the

The Tapati Rapa Nui, which literally means "Rapa Nui week", is the most important
cultural party in Rapa Nui, is held each year for two weeks in February. This festival is

In the context of celebration of the “Santiago a Mil” festival, in the Tocatas Mil version,
Maori Tupuna was invited to participate as representative of the Rapa Nui cultura in
three stages: Gabriela Mistral cultural center in Santiago, Chimkowe cultural center in
MAORI TUPUNA O TE MATATOA
The transmission of the traditional Rapa Nui culture is done through making. Maori
Tupuna participates permanently in activities alongside its artistic company, such as
preparation and confection of typical outfits that are later used in artistic performances.
